Red Silk

Know why I name him Red Silk, you guess it right I believe. Red Silk's fins are like this. He is like a scarlet sheet of silk that wobbles in his personal water tank. He is the most leisurely of fish I have and a sheer joy to see it wobble like a goldfish through the water plants and while perform its skin dive after I feed its meal. He is such an exhibitionist to enjoy truly.

My Present Yon

Come to think of it, I started my love for fighting fish to breeding bettas by chance of my sixth birthday. I remember Yon as my present that year which fascinates me than any thing else with its white shiny skin and braod tail. He is such a beauty and immediately, I am obsessed till many decades later this joy which I shall showcase many more starting with Yon above.

Butterfly

Butterfly as i name him because he spreads like one. He marvels in the way he hovers and drifts from one place to another, seemingly picking up food and searching for his hideout in an old shoe cave which he spends most of his time resting and peeking out to see who is looking at him. And every time it is me.

Aston Villa

I was at the time supporting Aston Villa as my favorite soccer club and so at the same time saw a representing fighter that expresses my sentiments in support of the team. And so came the obvious naming of my new collectible friend Aston villa that have the colors of their home jersey. And without any hesitation, I recorded the home match vs Newcastle with Aston villa beside the set all cos' i was too excited.

Deepy

I wonder if Deepy is a pure fighting fish. I greatly suspect he is a cross between a Siamese fighting fish and a guppy. As for his lifestyle and behaviour is a hundred percent Siamese fighting fish. If I am to keep a record for his victories, it registers that of a champion because he wins every fight and have his tail undamaged.

Boldy

Dear Boldy enjoy being watch at. Should you ever approach him, he will be busy exhibiting his pet trick of sharp turns and wobbling of tail fin to flash itself. Apart from his unusual behavior, Boldy is a lovable one as he never waste his feeds and always coming up with some tricks to communicate his presence which is all too.. humorous.

Magnificent

Aren't you intimidated or in awe of this fine spread? I feed this blue beauty with lots of supplement and so his fins turn out this way. However I think he is a vulnerable creature and forbids him to fight in any circumstances. He is some might say pampered, a show-off, but I choose to differ cos' I think he deserves such good treatment.

Reds

If ever you think Reds has a black body, look closer. Reds has the origin of pure red species and his body is 10 times the shade of its fins. I always picture the red spread from the center pool and pumps out to the fins' ends and this made it a fully charged fighting fish to watch. Strangely, Reds need not fight because its opponents never cross over to his territory out of terror of its look I guess.

Black Moss

Black Moss is the vision I have while doing my back: http://loveryz-livehappy.blogspot.com/2008/05/enlarging-my-back.html
I tell myself to hunt for this black beauty and what came as a surprise is a gift from an emigrant to NZ. It takes no longer than a day for Moss and I to clique. He respond to my every watch and feed. We can feel each other's presence like long time friends and still growing strong as can be seen on the photo.

Blue Ray

Blue Ray likes to feed on live frogs and I believe that is what make his fins co broad and his reaction so agile. I once put him in a fighting arena with another collector and no one is a match when blue ray strikes. He seems to be always at least half a turn ahead and defeat his opponents flat. The most amazing thing is he always emerges unscathed.

Shiny

The only multi-colored fish I have in my inventory is Shiny my shy one. He is a cross of Blue Ray his dad and Red Rush his mother. Shiny really expands my horizon on fish colors and I shifted my center of attention from having so called pure breeds to all inclusive breeding or orphanage for bettas of breeds in purist or hybrids form and I am happier to see a broader world of colorful fighters.
